Dr Amy Goh

Gynaecologist / Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon
BA, MBBS (Hons), MPhil (Medicine), FRANZCOG

Dr Amy Goh is a specialist Gynaecologist and AGES-accredited advanced Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgeon. She is dedicated to providing holistic care to women with a wide range of gynaecological conditions. Her expertise is in advanced Minimally Invasive Gynaecological Surgery (laparoscopy and hysteroscopy), with additional interests in pelvic organ prolapse and vulval skin conditions. Dr Goh strongly believes in the importance of engaging women in all decisions made about their health, and considers clear communication, supportive attention, and patient education to be vital aspects of any health management plan. Having had an international upbringing in Europe, Asia, Australia, USA and the Middle East, Dr Goh has a keen interest in caring for women and families from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.


Experience and Training

Dr Goh graduated with honours from The University of Sydney Medical School. She completed her RANZCOG Fellowship training at Westmead Hospital, during which time she was also the Senior Registrar (Chief Resident). She went on to undertake a 2-year AGES-accredited fellowship in Minimally Invasive and Advanced Gynaecological Surgery at Westmead Hospital, giving her the expert skills needed to provide quality care in a broad range of women’s health issues. She currently holds a public appointment in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Westmead Hospital where she is a consultant in a Gynaecology Clinic and a Medium-risk Obstetrics Clinic, and also leads a Caseload Midwifery Team. Prior to medicine, Dr Goh received her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at The Johns Hopkins University (USA).

In addition, Dr Goh is a published researcher who has won multiple awards and scholarships for her research in women’s health. She has an MPhil (Medicine), and is a Clinical Lecturer and Examiner with The University of Sydney Medical School. Dr Goh is also a strong supporter of junior doctor training and is an accredited Training Supervisor for RANZCOG.


When not at work, Dr Goh treasures any time spent with her family especially her two young children. She loves doing crafts (including sewing and knitting), playing music, reading fiction and travelling. Her guilty pleasure is unwinding to a good (or some say bad!) action movie.
