Aster Women’s Health is a women’s health service dedicated to combining holistic approaches with the latest in evidence-based medicine. 

 

The Aster flower symbolises love, wisdom and faith. Flowers from the Aster family have been used by cultures around the world for centuries for their healing properties. Aster Women’s Health draws inspiration from these principles and knowledge and seeks to combine it with the latest scientific practices when caring for women and their families. We look after women of all ages who are experiencing a wide range of gynaecological issues, providing support throughout their journeys.

Gynaecology

 

Aster Women's Health is dedicated to providing evidence-based care with a holistic approach. 

 

At your first consultation, we will take a full medical history and listen to your health concerns. A gynaecological exam will be attended, which will include a cervical screening test (CST) if necessary. We will then discuss the next steps in your care with you, and ensure that your GP/referring doctor is kept up to date at all times.

Our clinic looks after women with a range of women's health issues including but not limited to:

  • Routine and regular gynaecological health checks

  • Abnormal Cervical Screening Tests (CST, previously called Pap Smears)

  • Abnormal or heavy periods

  • Endometriosis

  • Fibroids

  • Ovarian cysts

  • Pelvic pain

  • Prolapse and urinary leakage

  • Vulval skin problems

  • Pre-conception advice

  • Family planning and contraception

  • Early pregnancy and miscarriage support

​Gynaecological procedures that can be attended in the rooms include:

  • Routine CSTs

  • Colposcopy and cervical biopsy

  • Endometrial biopsy

  • Intrauterine device (IUD) insertion and removal

  • Implanon insertion and removal

  • Vaginal pessary insertion and removal

  • Vulval skin biopsies
