Medical Secretary
Shirley was born in Belgium and moved to Australia with her husband and son in 2006. Her career has been dedicated to providing care to people of all ages in a variety of settings - initially as a Registered Nurse for patients with Mental Health and Alzheimer's Disease, then as a Room Leader in Childcare Education, until moving into Medical Administration 5 years ago. Shirley's compassionate nature, extensive experience, and broad knowledge base means that she is able to provide excellent care and service to women and their families.​Outside of work, Shirley loves experimenting in the kitchen, walking, travelling, camping, and spending time with her family, friends and cat.

I am a people person through and through – I have always found joy in connection. Laughter, and a good dose of colour! I started out as a legal secretary at many law firms however the connection didn’t suit. So I then became a buyer at SC Johnson, but after 8 years I traded the boardrooms for baby bottles when I became a stay-at-home mum to mythree demanding but adorable children. That is when I fell headfirst into fitness- not just for myself, but for the community it builds. I hold a Cert III and IV in fitness and I have been working in the fitness industry now for over 20 years. My skills are varied from Les Mills to Reformer Pilates to Aquafitness. These days you will find me leading classes in the brightest wildest outfits I can find (yes I have been known to show up as an ELF!) because making people smile, sweat and also help with their fitness is my happy place.

Originally from Singapore, I've made Australia home together with my husband, 2 kids and a Cavoodle puppy. My passion to do work that has purpose and is meaningful led me to pursue further qualifications and then work in aged care and allied health. Having grown up in a multicultural environment, I've had the opportunity to learn Mandarin, Cantonese and French thus enabling me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
